Claire Farrell, representing MVP Track and Field Club and Norwalk High in Iowa, won the women's 400-meter title in 54.70 seconds at the USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships at Hornet Stadium in Sacramento State. Farrell also took third in the 100-meter dash final in 12.118 seconds, edged by Amare Harlan of Fremont, Utah in 12.117, and finished ninth in the 200 in 24.61.
